1st CULPRIT, 2nd CULPRIT, 3rd CULPRIT
The CULPRIT books were never meant simply to be anthologies of short crime fiction. My co-editors (Michael Z. Lewin and, for 3rd, Peter Lovesey) and I wanted them to contain a whole range of material.
Of course there's fiction - we were given stories by some of the best writers in the business. Well, I say "given" but the truth was often that we begged, wheedled and traded in order to get stories. But there are also cartoons, puzzles and non- fiction.
